Blurb:

Melanie was the co-ed all the guys wanted, the one who was trying to get the college to let her minor in sex.  Marcus was the poor ghetto-student on a full-ride scholarship, trying to keep his head above water in medical school, and unable to allow himself more than one night a week off from his studying.  What started out as a one-night stand, became a once-a week thing, until Marcus began to realize that sharing Melanie with whomever she picked up for the night was not enough for him.  Just when he got her to agree to be monogamous, they graduated and she took a job in another state.  Years later, now in the middle of a divorce, he realizes that the only woman he ever really loved was the one who got away.  He finds her name on the internet, and drives up unannounced to see her.  She is afraid that his being a married man will threaten her teaching job, so she is trying to keep him at arms’ length away.  Which only works for a while…

Melanie spent most of her college days sowing her wild oats but when a dark handsome man saves her life and steals her heart she has a whole new outlook on life. I loved Mel and her unabashed way of seeking pleasure by anyone at any time.  Not only does the girl talk but she does so in such fashion that you can’t help but laugh and gravitate towards her loving a carefree personality.  It may have taken her a long time to figure out who would make her happy but once she did it was such a great ending.

Marcus spent most of his life working himself to the bone and pinning after the one woman who holds has held his heart since med school so when she’s within arms reach he goes for broke and hopes she doesn’t turn him down once again.  Marcus is a man after my own heart he was born into poverty but came back fighting and ended up on top.  Not only did I fall for him as a gangly med student but also the man that he became. Shyness is always a good thing in a male character lead but once he came out of his shell it was great to see the personality behind the man.

This was a great story filled with love between two characters that truly belonged to one another.
