Compass Brother book #2
Seth has traveled south and made a name for himself as a foreman on one of the most prosperous ranches in the country. As he learns best practices, he is able to give his father and brother—Compton Pass’s new head rancher—some tips and tricks for success. The one thorn in his side in his Texas home is Jody Kirkland, the daughter of his boss. She’s a sassy, smart-talking redhead who constantly raises his temper and his libido. Before long, Seth has her hogtied in his cabin and in his bed and they embark on an affair hot enough to scorch the barn stalls.
Sometimes running away from hone can be a good thing for Seth it;s the best thing hes ever done because it brought him to Jody. Seth is just one of those characters you can’t help but fall in love with. Compassion and nobility are just some of his strong suits but he also alpha enough to have you panting for more. I love how dedicated he is too his family, noth the one he was born into and the one he made in Texas, he was so willing to help and do whateber necessary to keep them sage and happy.
Jody has only ever wanted one man, Seth, but after years of being knocked down at ever turn she grows tired of the chase and gives up or so she thinks. This woman is so headstong its great to read the interactions between her and the equally stubborn Seth. I thin kwaht I loved the most about her though was the willingness to give up a year of her life for a friend. To me that spoke volumes on just ho astounding a person she truly is.
The second book in the compass brothers series turned out to be just as great as the first. I can’t wait to read more about this family.
